As a porter, Basu gained firsthand knowledge of Nepal’s trekking regions, including the Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Manaslu, and other remote Himalayan destinations. More importantly, he learned the importance of hard work, honesty, responsibility, and teamwork—values that continue to guide his leadership today.

His transition from porter to guide was a natural progression fueled by his dedication, mountain knowledge, and strong communication skills. As a guide, he spent years leading trekkers from around the world through Nepal’s diverse landscapes, introducing them to local cultures, traditions, and mountain lifestyles.
